We’re off to a wonderful start this year! Our Wildcats have done a fantastic job making new classmates feel at home. If you’re a new family to Valley Oak, we are so glad you’re here and hope your experience has been positive so far. Welcome to our community!

As we wrap up the first two weeks of school, we’re beginning to see the usual seasonal illnesses in classrooms. Please help us keep everyone healthy by reminding your child about good hygiene habits both at school and at home. If your child is sick, please keep them home until they are feeling better and their symptoms have improved. Reach out to our office to find out how to recover their attendance if this happens.

Strong attendance is essential for student success. Our schoolwide goal is to maintain an average daily attendance rate of 96% or higher. Each month, grade levels will be working together to reach (and hopefully surpass!) this goal. Please help your child understand the importance of attending school each day!

Now that we are two weeks into our school year, our students should be familiar with our school's routines and norms. For safety purposes, we kindly ask that parents remain in the designated drop-off and pick-up zones.

DROP OFF: Parents can take their students to the classrooms, but should not enter the playground area. This helps our staff identify any adults who should not be on campus. Please also begin to vacate the campus once the first bell rings for students to line up at 7:55 AM. Our students should be in class, and the campus should be cleared by 8:00 AM.

PICK UP: Parents can be on campus up to 10 minutes before the day ends. The campus should also be cleared of students who are not staying for co-curriculars by 3:00 PM.
