Dear Wildcats,

We hope you had a safe and restful Winter Break! We are so happy to have our students back and learning this week!

Valley Oak Elementary is excited to continue our schoolwide monthly attendance challenges, designed to encourage strong routines and consistent attendance throughout the year. Each month, classes participate in a friendly, class-by-class competition where attendance percentages are tracked and ranked within three grade bands: TK/Kindergarten, 1st–3rd, and 4th–6th. At the end of each month, the top class in each group is recognized and earns a class celebration. These challenges help students build positive habits, strengthen learning, and foster school pride. We appreciate our families’ partnership in helping students arrive on time and attend daily when healthy—together, we can support our Wildcats’ success all year long.
